A conversion van can make transporting passengers with mobility issues easier and safer. Getting a loved one in and out of a well-converted van helps end any worries about injuries as well as slips and falls. Whether you are considering investing in a mobility van to visit family members who live a couple of hours away or take a road trip cross country, HQ Custom Design can help. We have years of experience converting Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans to help clients increase their mobility.

Open Concept Mobile Office

For this project, the client works on the road regularly and requires a spacious and efficient mobile office. When it comes to work, the client needed a space that allowed him to start working immediately. To remove obstructions, we created an open concept mobile office.

Side-Entrance UVL Lift System

UVL lifts are designed to get a wheelchair user into a van faster and easier than getting both the chair and the user into a vehicle separately. The wheelchair lift is powered by a hydraulic system and could be mounted inside the vehicle, preventing exposure to the elements. With a handheld control, the wheelchair user and owner can regulate all of the van’s lift functions. We also installed a manual backup pump so that the client can continue operating the lift should the vehicle experience an electrical failure.

Completely Custom Interior

The client wanted a spacious van interior with as many modern amenities as possible. This way, long trips are enjoyable, and everyone positively remembers the ride. At HQ Custom Design, we upfitted the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van with retractable tables, a flat screen TV, 110V/USB outlets, cup holders, captain chairs with swivel base, wood flooring, and motorized reclining beds that allow passengers to stretch out and relax.

Rear Entertainment Center

While many people enjoy sitting around a campfire or a lit-up sky of stars, some nights experience bad weather and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. That’s why the client requested a rear entertainment center that allowed loved ones to watch movies or TV shows, listen to music, play card games, and more. This area was equipped with a separate radio, subwoofer, and console system.
