Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Private Mobile Office

One of our more recent builds had us perform a mobile office custom conversion on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for a private client that was planning on using the van for both business and personal use. Our client had specified that it was vital for the passenger cabin to include wireless Internet, the ability to mirror his laptop’s screen to the front display, and for all rear passengers to be visible during video conference calls. As the van was planned on being operated for long stretches of time, the client requested for there to be a bed space, some forms of entertainment, and a place to keep light meals and beverages chilled. HQ was more than of capable of handling this type of conversion request, having performed a number of similar executive mobile office upfits on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis.

An Elegant and Functional Private Travel Environment

For this build, our client wanted for the passenger cabin to sport a full beige interior with captain seating and window shades made to match completely. Capable of fitting a total of 7 rear passengers, including the 4 captain seats and the rear row sofa bed. Each seat is of the most superb comfort and refined craftsmanship featuring Halo leather upholstery, as the 4 captain chairs include power recline, leg extensions, lumbar support, heat / cool elements, vibrating massage and self-leveling armrests. Adjacent to each chair is an aviation styled retractable table in a wood laminate finish that is perfect for eating a light meal or snack off, as well as using it as a stand for a laptop or for viewing documents.

Built for Accomplishing Either Work or Play

Middle console below the front TV display, features an HD satellite radio that can be connected to via Bluetooth for playing music off of, storage cabinet and a small drawer refrigerator. Even though, it not visible via images provided of this build as custom made floor mats lie all around the passenger cabin floor, wood like flooring has been included. Rear sofa bed is capable of reclining outwards into a miniature bed. Interestingly enough, for the build our client had wanted to keep the OEM design of the headliner and cabin ceiling as means of reducing conversions. The result was more of a modest nature; however, it still came out rather refined as the simple approach had paid off.

Fully Integrated and Intuitive Mobile Office Setup

In regards to the mobile office setup, as mentioned above retractable tables are included for resting a laptop or important documents on top off. Since our client was a user of all Apple products, we included an Apple TV device for its ability to AirPlay and to mirror displays as our client aimed to cast his MacBook Pro to the front 50” Samsung UHD display for easier viewing when browsing and collaborating with others within the passenger cabin. Above the solid divider of front partition lies a webcam that is integrated to capture the whole rear section of the passenger cabin when on Skype, Facetime, GoToMeeting, or other video conferencing. The passenger cabin includes a WiFi router to enable mobile devices to remain connected mid transit, as well as USB and AC outlets to plug in charges.

Plenty of Ways to Relax and Remain Well Entertained Throughout Your Travel

Furthermore, with cabin Internet connectivity, the Apple TV is able to stream movies / TV shows via its various apps as well as enables online functions for the Sony PlayStation 4 system, which can be used as a streaming device or Blu-Ray player amongst being a video game console. The cabin is equipped with a high-end Dolby 5.1 digital surround sound system, which features 2 front speakers, 2 rear speakers and a sub-woofer for audiophile, home theatre like audio quality. Cabin LEDs, climate controls and media devices are controlled via touch-button controls on the side opposite the sliding door. To communicate with the front driver cabin, an onboard intercom system is equipped for easy communication between the two parties without the need of lowering the partition solid divider.
